Brethren,
March was a good month for Elmer Timberman Lodge, despite the harsh weather we had. Wor. Carlos M. Roncal and members of Alianza Fraternal Americana Lodge #92, FAAM of DC, were the guests of the evening. Daniel Aysanoa, PM, talked about the history of their lodge as a focal point for Spanish speaking members not just in the DC area, but in Latin America and Spain. Then on March 25, we had our first Called Communication for initiating a candidate to the Degrees of Freemasonry. I would like to thank the Brethren, more especially our DIW, WB Mike King, PM, for taking part of the Degree.
April’s Stated theme was “Scottish Rite Night”. We had the pleasure to hear WB John T. Tillery, PM of Mt. Vernon Lodge #219 and Preceptor of the Alexandria Consistory of the Alexandria Scottish Rite Valley. He talked about why he joined Scottish Rite Masonry and the benefits of being a Scottish Rite Mason. His talk was well received.
Our May Stated will be “Law Enforcement Night”. The speaker will be MWB Jesse Villarreal, Past Grand Master of Mason in DC in 2011 and a retired Officer of the DC Metropolitan Police Force. This will be open to the public, so invite your friends, family and more especially, if you know someone in the law enforcement field, invite them as well so we can recognize them. Our June Stated will be the Official Visit of the District Blood Coordinator & District MAHOVA Representative to our Lodge.
Just a reminder that the Grand Master of Masons of VA makes his official visit to District 1A, 1B and 54 on May 11 at 6:00 P.M. in the Scottish Rite Temple, 1430 W. Braddock Road in Alexandria. If you want tickets for the event, just call me on the List of Officers or e-mail me at pabloarocha1992@outlook.com . The Grand Master wants us to invite the widows as well, so please call me so I can reserve you a ticket.
Hope to see you at the two Stated Communications. As you know, dinner starts at 6:00P.M.. Call or e-mail our Junior Deacon (joe.millirons@gmail.com) if you plan to come for dinner so he can have a headcount for food.
Fraternally,
WOR Pablo A. Rocha

_______________________________________________________________________________Brethren,
We had the honor of Right Worshipful Donald F. Ritenour, DDGM of Masonic District 1-B, making his official visit to our Lodge at our January Stated. He conveyed the greetings of the Grand Master to us and stressed his theme "Masonry's Youth is Masonry's Future" and the DDGM’s goal of creating a Master and Wardens Associations for this District. We also had a ceremony of the 50-Year Veterans Award for Brother Kenneth M. Adams, which our DDGM had the honor of presenting to Brother Adams.
At our February Stated, we had Wor. Adam C. Duncan, PM of Andrew Jackson Lodge, as our speaker . He spoke on the Last Will and Testament of President (and Brother) George Washington. It was well received and questions were asked.
Our March Stated will feature a talk on the "History of Alianza Fraternal Americana Lodge #92." Alianza Fraternal Americana Lodge just celebrated the 20th Anniversary of its founding as the first Spanish-speaking lodge in the Washington, DC area. The Master and members of that lodge will come to visit to our lodge.
Our April stated will be "Scottish Rite Night." I'm planning to have Illustrious (and Most Worshipful) Brother Edmund Cohen to be the Speaker.
Hope to see you at the two Stated Communications. As you know, dinner starts at 6:00pm. A donation of $7.00 will cover the cost of the meal. Call our Junior Deacon if you planning to come for dinner so he can have a headcount for food.
Fraternally,

Brethren,
I would like to start out by saying thank you to Most Worshipful Donald M. Robey for speaking at our August Stated. Although my absence for that occasion was unavoidable, I’ve been told that his talk on the Pledge of Allegiance was outstanding and well-received by the Brethren.
In September, our Brothers from Rossville,Georgia, will be coming up for our annual exchange visit. The dates are Friday and Saturday, September 21-22. We will begin by welcoming them on Friday evening at the Fairview Park Marriott.
On Saturday morning, we will have breakfast at the Great American Buffet. Following that, we will open Lodge at 9:00 AM, and after Lodge we will all go sight-seeing in DC. I would like to see as many Brothers and their families as possible on hand for those events.
I would also like to thank Brother Joe Millirons for the wonderful dinners he has provided for the last few months. I look forward to seeing you all on September 17 and again on the 21st.
Fraternally,

Brethren,
I would like to think everyone who turned out for our picnic, we had a great time. Also, thank you to all the Past Masters who came out for Past Masters’ Night at our June Stated. It was great to see so many of you here. My special thanks to Wor. Bob Ragan, who organized the evening for us.
I want to take this opportunity to welcome our newest Master Mason, Brother Chester Damian, who was Raised on June 25th. Our thanks are also due to the Brothers from Mount Vernon No. 219 and Occoquan No. 310 who did outstanding work in the conferral that evening. I know Brother Chester appreciated it.
A special treat is in store for us at our August Stated, when our Guest Speaker will be Most Worshipful Donald Maynard Robey, Past Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. If it’s within the length of your Cabletow, please be there to welcome him.
Another event of real interest will occur on August 18, when La France Lodge No. 93 of the District of Columbia will exemplify the Master Mason Degree using the Scottish Rite Ritual. The event will be at the Scottish Rite Temple in Alexandria, and the Degree will start promptly at 4:00 PM, with dinner to follow at 6:00 PM.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe Fourth of July.

Brethren:
I would like to start out by thanking everyone who has supported me so far this year. We had a great April Stated and we had a full house of visitors. It was the District Deputy Grand Master Grayson Koogle's Official Visit, who opened the meeting to the Ladies and non-Mason visitors. He gave a wonderful talk, and reviewed the schedule of important events for the year.
A highlight of the evening was the DDGM's presentation of the 60-Year Veteran's award to Brother Claremont Leland Pederson. In a second highlight, yours truly was presented a Masonic "Lewis" jewel from his father, our Junior Warden, Charles E. Wilkinson, Jr., who had received the jewel from his father, thus continuing a fine Masonic tradition.
I would like to remind everyone that our family picnic is June 23, and will be held at the Lodge as a Homecoming.
June will also be Past Masters Night. I would like to se every Past Master make. In closing, I look forward to seeing the Lodge full of our members.
Fraternally,
WOR Charles E. Wilkinson, III
